canvas 3 - heypal
What if I could be your personal AI?
Even if for just a moment.
You give me your instructions to make art on a small 10x10cm canvas and I mail it to you.
Isn't there a word for that already?
Yes, it's called a commission.
If AI is anything it is the most spectacular rebranding.
It is the rebranding of rebranding itself, a funhouse infinite mirror.
You shift around, laughing at yourself and your new found power to distort reality.
It's fun.
But it lacks soul.
My model is trained on 48 years of life.
I know sound, but little else.
But isn't that really what AI is - no actual skill?
The beauty isn't even in the generated works of art so much as the beautiful stories people send me about what they want their art to contain.
They are little secrets.
That little child you keep safely inside your head.
I see you.
Deeply ingrained in the prompts people send are images of youth transpired, yearning, simple joys...
stop
listen
...
the birds are chirping.
Eyes well up a bit with some of the words people send me, honestly.
IMHO, this is one of the tragedies of AI - we are seeking out some kind of resolution, someone to listen so that we can unburden ourselves and move forward; or, perhaps, simply to partake in the joy of retelling a fond memory.
AI does not care about your inner child.
It does not listen.
You're worth it.
