BACK IT UP BACK IT UP BACK IT UP - Kingston DataTraveler Max Gen, XS1000 SSD, Canvas Go! Plus
After 3️⃣0️⃣ years of doing a thing you learn a few other things.
So indulge your old pal as I pass on 3 simple things every producer needs to do.
1️⃣ BACK IT UP
2️⃣ BACK IT UP
3️⃣ BACK IT UP
I cannot tell you how many hours of music I've lost because I didn't back it up.
I cannot express to you the stress of having to go on stage in a few hours but your luggage is lost and you didn't think to bring a backup of your set.
People, as your EDM Dad, please, for the love of sound,

There are plenty of fish in the sea but personally, I am a @kingstontechnology fanboy. I’ve been using their RAM/SSD for years without issue, it all just works. You can’t be mucking about taking risks on the road!
Do what works for you, as long as you

I'm here letting you know because some of you are decent producers, and it'd be a terrible shame if your work was lost.
I still think about those lost tracks. Their sounds ping-pong in my head like echoes from an infinite well.
Sorry, where was I...
So go on, get your butts back in the studio and

Fwiw, my personal, nay, professional, regimen involves multiple sources.
The micro SD here is for the Tascam Portacapture field recorder. 512mb at 32-bit float should outlast my tired, aging, arms.
The USB-C is stupidly fast for, well, anything. The important thing is to keep using it - I back up the set I'll be performing AND I back up my field recordings that I do.
The other thing you see is another SSD for redundancy. Everything important that I need backed up on my laptop also goes on to this, including my field recordings.
Alright, dad’s tired of ranting, bugger off now. But please, seriously, back it up, now!
