Soothing Sound

A balanced collection of lows, mids, and highs. My dehumidifier doesn't often roar like this. When it does I always stop and listen because it's so soothing. I was lucky to have caught it for this length of time, like a rare bird. It reminds me of Tuvan throat singers.

Degrowth

The way we think of the word digital is problematic. It is not some ethereal medium. Digital things occupy physical space. This video exists tangibly and relies on real earth resources which have a real human impact. That is not ideal. Yet, I think that there is potential for sound to function as a counterweight to capitalism. Simply, if you can be occupied with listening then you are less likely to buy.

Uncool

Cool is what keeps capitalism churning. It's why people want better more latest version update. It's why there is fast fashion. Cool is opposing magnets. We need attracting magnets. We need our time back. We need our priorities back. We need simple back. Let cool go.

Why Should One Not

I mean it, I want you to have an inner dialogue about why your gut reaction is to question the worth and value and validity of this video. Who are you to say so? What is problematic with someone thinking that their creativity has value? How do you absorb this sentiment when it's downloaded vs uploaded? Why are you more outspoken of this than what the worst people on the planet are doing today? We internalize these micro judgements. We self stifle. We subdue. Just let it go. Be simple.
