a few of you called me out for the way i brought up ukraine and spotify but not yandex.

i did not know yandex hosted music. i asked my label to remove my music from it and other russian platforms. thank you for calling me out on my ignorance.

the left and right coming together in support of ukraine was the right thing to do. my original comment was flippant and insensitive which i am sorry for.

it was right to ban russia from sports and stupid singing competitions and right to upend our economies in real ways and right to accommodate ukrainian refugees or at the very least put up a ukrainian flag emoji.

this was the solidarity and empathy we expect in response to tragedy.

what i failed to express is the question of why that support is missing for palestinians.

in two years germany rightly took in over ne million ukrainian refugees.

last week germany rightly gave asylum to eight donkeys from gaza.

in two years germany treated two children from gaza.

two.

i am asking myself too. i have responded differently to ukraine and palestine and sudan and the democratic republic of the congo and beyond.

why.

some believe that ek gave $793 million dollars to helsing to defend ukraine and europe. but i do not trust any illionaire to do anything other than evil.

ek helps helsing which helps mistral which helps microsoft which helps the idf.

i am not comfortable with my music supporting the killing of anyone.

so i am going to save myself.

i should leave it there but it sounds doomy.

naturally the hope is that your actions can help others. but the mentality that you should take action for the sake of others has not worked. it is inadequate.

we are only capable when we want to be.

i say to save your self because i want you to feel empowered by the possibility that that helps.

save your self means to take back power of your life. boycott to move away from capitalism. make choices that give you more time.
